Kuro Burgers

I'm a big fan of this black bread from Saladicious...and there are times when they don't have it cos they have no squid ink.

...but I never pictured a black burger! Well, it was only a matter of time I guess.

Apparently, Burger King Japan is launching these burgers. Not a big fan of Burger King...can I have this colour in Shake Shack's potato rolls please?

the cheesecake factory

One way of wearing bows that doesn't make you look like a toddler.
*baci lingerie bow stockings*
*pinkbutter dress*
*splash envelope clutch*

the cheesecake factory finally opened in Dubai Mall last August 15

Very clever of Al Shaya advertising their other brands throughout the menu.
...but there is just a lot going on inside that I couldn't decide what to order :s

I wanted to taste each and every one of these...

*peach smoothie* (his)

*island cooler* (mine)

*hibachi steak* (his)
i tasted his steak and it was perfectly cooked...the way i would've wanted if that was mine...

*jamaican pepper shrimp* (mine)
loved everything on this plate, it was like a medley, they compliment each other really well...jamaican spice...bananas...pickled mango...brown rice...i didn't touch the black beans though, not a big fan.

*chocolate bar cheesecake* (share)
it was a huge piece of cake, shame we couldn't get ourselves to finish it cos we were so full

*happy tummy*

i had more fotos of food from one of the best small unknown resto in Dubai but got deleted :( just have to wait till we visit that place again...

cupcakes, macarons and popcorns

Baked dozens and dozens of cupcakes twice in a week...or make it thrice, baked a couple of dozens more for a friend's baby shower last 14th of July. That was the effect of 2 Broke Girls marathon :)

*mmmacaron crazy lady*
They're both made in the UAE, but I discovered Forrey & Galland offers much more flavours. But not very impressed that they just have a kiosk in Dubai Festival City. If you want macarons that isn't made here, it costs Dhs 3 more from Laduree and they fly it from France. I'm still leaning more over Fauchon, I love their fig macaron. I would bake them, but not so fond bout trials and errors in baking. I know they're just mostly egg whites, but I'm not ready to work that hard yet. Maybe in the winter..

weekend / weekday escape and foodies

FRIDAY

Jebel Hafeet, Al Ain

felt so great to be away from Dubai...

went to see the hot springs, which was so short, I was expecting it to be high...
there was a foto...but I was on it...so I decided not to post it...

we had lunch at the Mercure, well...he had lunch, I had white wine...I had been craving for crispy fried fish since last weekend...had to wait till we get back to Dubai...finally satisfied my craving at a cheap Filipino resto in Deira (Tipanan), best cheapest meal ever! crappy service though, as expected...

SATURDAY

Jebel Ali Shooting Club
flying plates...what a delight...but i feel like throwing them, that would release my stress a whole lot better...

a peek at the menu

nachos and salsa

my 7-pcs onion rings, damn 1 piece of whole onion for Dhs 30, it was bland but so crunchy and the bbq sauce made up for it and his starter, I forgot but for sure it was some raw fish or something...

his cowboy steak

my jumbo prawns...yum!

SUNDAY

my very own Asian Cheese Cake :D - not baked...steamed...

oh it was a hit...at least with the little monsters :D

MONDAY

watched Snow White and The Huntsman (poor movie by the way, boring and lacking of so many things) with
Garrett Cashew Caramel and Cheese Corn Popcorn...ze bomb!
yes I was able to sneak them inside the cinema cos my bag was intentionally empty

...and Laduree Macarons
with all the hype...nothing special in my opinion, Shakespeare's macarons was way better!

little monsters loved and enjoyed the popcorn and macarons :D

TUESDAY

went to Saladicious Jumeirah yet again, one of  the resto's I introduced to my beloved and quickly became one of his fave...lovely dinner...but the food below was just my dinner, as he started digging into his food before I could whip  out the camera...let's just say he had some raw salmon for his starter and some duck for his main :D

Chocolate Mousse (my starter), Fresh Watermelon

Veal Milanese with Penne Arrabiata

@ Holiday Inn, Barsha
watched Eurocup 2012 - Poland v Russia
